Sardar Automobile & Machinery Trading Co. Ltd. Welcomes Komatsu Team to Strengthen Cooperation in Basra

Sardar Automobile & Machinery Trading Co. Ltd., the authorized distributor of the Japanese brand Komatsu in Iraq, welcomed a delegation from Komatsu Middle East on an official visit to explore ways of enhancing future collaboration and discuss strategic partnerships aimed at delivering innovative solutions to support the growth of Iraq’s construction sector.

The visit of the Komatsu Middle East delegation, led by Mr. Tomomitsu Hoga, Executive Director of Komatsu Middle East, and Mr. Tenma Kitamura, Marketing Manager for the Middle East, took place in Basra from February 16 to 17, 2025. The delegation held a series of meetings with leading private sector companies as part of Komatsu’s efforts to support development and infrastructure projects in Iraq.

As part of strengthening ties with strategic partners, the teams visited Al-Narjes General Contracting Company in Basra and met with its CEO, Mr. Hatem Mohsen Al-Darraji. During the meeting, they reviewed potential avenues for future cooperation. Mr. Hatem praised the ongoing support provided by Sardar Automobile & Machinery Trading Co. Ltd. and Komatsu—especially in after-sales services, which have significantly contributed to building customer trust and achieving high satisfaction levels. Both parties emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration to advance Iraq’s infrastructure—particularly in Basra—through comprehensive solutions that address the sector’s evolving needs.

On the second day of the visit, Sardar Automobile & Machinery Trading Co. Ltd., accompanied by representatives from Komatsu Middle East, visited the headquarters of Al-Mass Basra Contracting Company. During the meeting, discussions focused on future cooperation and Al-Mass’s strategic plans. The teams also reviewed the projects executed by Al-Mass and those currently under development.
